The Collections – Carrollton, Texas

ACS installed our 1/4″ sound mat in the hard surface areas with a 1″ gypsum underlayment topping for a total system thickness of 1 1/4″. In the carpet areas, we poured 1″ and seemlessly transitioned the additional 1/4″ over 2-3 feet. This provided a cost savings to the contractor and our crews finish the floor in such a way that makes the transition from hard surface to carpet, unnoticeable for flooring contractor and more importantly, tenants.

In addition to the sound mat and gypsum topping, ACS completed our standard waterproofing system on the private balconies and breezeways. We also installed a small amount of stained concrete in the clubhouse of this project.

Like so many other apartments in the region, ACS was able to provide sound control and waterproofing for our friends at Embrey to ensure no leaks and no sound complaints.
